The Terms of Service can be changed from time to time without notice, so you should check this page from time to time for any possible changes that have been made. Any major changes will be covered in our blog.

These Terms of Service are effective from February 11th, 2017.

1. Employers

  • Posting a Project

An employer is responsible for listing a project on our website, and he assumes any damage the project listed under his account may do.

  • Working

An employer should hire one of the freelancers who have bid on his/her project, and shouldn’t post empty projects, an account that posts more than 10 projects that have not been worked on will be suspended for a while before being allowed to operate on the website again. An employer should not take freelancers from our website outside the platform workspace, any messages that involves the exchange of phone numbers & emails requesting to work outside our platform workspace may lead to account suspension, and may make disputes harder to resolve. It’s good practice to remain at work.sobanuka.com for all communications regarding the project implementations until its done.

  • Finalizing a Project

An employer is responsible to finalize the project to allow funds to be transferred to the freelancer’s account, He/She must mark the project as FINISH once he/she is satisfied with the service from the freelancer.

  • Payment

An employer is responsible to fully fund the project they have posted, they should choose a budget planned for their project, and choose to hire freelancers that meet their expectations and within their budget. They should be having enough credits to award the freelancer on their account, otherwise they won’t be able to award the job to the freelancer until they have loaded their account with an equivalent amount to that a freelancer have bid. Employers should also cover all Money Transfer Charges.

  • Disputes

Things are not always perfect, a freelancer may annoy you by not delivering agreed work, or by bleaching any other terms you may have agreed upon. An employer reserves the right to open a dispute concerning that project, and we will evaluate all the agreements they have made within the workspace and decide based on available evidence. If the freelancer clearly bleached the agreed terms, the employer will be fully refunded. It’s good practice to keep all communications in the platform should disputes arise.

2. Freelancers

  • Apply for Work

A freelancer is responsible to bring to completion the work he/she has bid on, and is bound by the working terms he/she establishes with the employer. He/she will receive payment once the employer is satisfied with the work and have marked it as FINISHED from the platform.

  • Working

Freelancers should always stay in the platform workspace for all communications regarding the project implementation so that it can always be used as evidence should anything go wrong between two parties. They must work on the project and submit it to the employer in their preferred form & medium.

  • Finalizing a project

Once freelancers have finalized the project, they should mark it as complete to notify the employer to finish it, funds will not be transferred to the freelancer’s account until the employer marks the project as Finished.

  • Payment

Freelancers will automatically receive payment once the employer marks the project as complete, and they can withdraw the credits anytime through accepted payment methods.

  • Disputes

Things are not always perfect, if a freelancer delivers work well & on time, yet the employer doesn’t mark the project as complete to release credits to his/her account, the freelancer reserves the right to open a dispute about the incident, and we will evaluate the case and decide based on the available evidence in the workspace, If the freelancer is right, he/she will have credits released to his/her account immediately.

3. Escrow

We provide an escrow service for both freelancers and employers, we coordinate the working process so that both parties work together with a peace of mind. A 10% commission fee is always charged from the credits awarded to a freelancer once the project is marked complete and credits transferred to the freelancer’s account,  only the freelancer is responsible for this fee.
